Jamaica Gleaner / The man wanted for the shocking killing of 14-year-old Jamaica College student, Nicholas Francis, is now in police custody.
The Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) of the police force says Quacie Hart turned himself in to the Half-Way Tree police last night. He was accompanied by his lawyer.
The CCU says he is being processed and is expected to be questioned later.
Crime Stop had announced a J$1 million reward for information leading to Hart’s arrest.
Last Wednesday, 14-year-old Francis was stabbed to death on a Toyota Coaster bus in front of his school when he refused to hand over his cell phone to a robber.
He was then thrown out of the bus, breaking one of his hands in the process.
The police named Hart as a person of interest a day after the incident.
