Trinidad Express / St Augustine Secondary on Sunday booked their place in the final of the Shell/First Citizens Girls National InterCol in emphatic style. At the Larry Gomes Stadium in Malabar, they beat Bishop Anstey Port of Spain 7-0. The “Green Machine” girls were led by a first half double by Adanya Phillip who started the scoring in the 20th and 29th minutes to give her side a 2-0 half time lead. Anais Ferguson made it 3-0 in the 40th minute before Selene Smart grabbed a swift second half hat-trick, netting three times in seven minutes, before Leah Dos Santos completed the tough afternoon for Bishop’s with a 66th minute item. St Augustine will now await their opponents in next Tuesday’s final. First, however, Signal Hill Secondary and Carapichaima Secondary are to play a rescheduled national quarter-final today at the Diwght Yorke Stadium in Bacolet, Tobago from 1.30pm. The winners of that match will then play Fyzabad Secondary in the second semi-final on Friday at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium. Meanwhile, the first Boys semi-final in Coca-Cola InterCol will also take place today, with North Zone winners Trinity College Moka taking on East champs San Juan North Secondary at the Hasely Crawford Stadium. Over in Tobago, Signal Hill and Carapichaima will play their rescheduled national quarter-final at the Dwight Yorke.
