Jamaica Gleaner / Former member of parliament for South West St Andrew Portia Simpson Miller, has warned Angela Brown Burke, who is looking to succeed her in the constituency, that she will have a serious task in serving the people.

Brown Burke, who is an outsider, was selected as the party?s representative for the constituency in a selection conference yesterday.

The senator and PNP vice president gained 595 votes to Audrey Smith Facey?s 502.

Following the selection exercise, Simpson Miller bid farewell to the constituency, but she warned Brown Burke that she would be keeping a close eye on the constituency.
