Jamaica Gleaner / A man is now in police custody after being arrested in St James on suspicion of being involved in lottery scamming.
The man’s identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
The police say he was arrested by detectives assigned to the Lottery Scam Task Force for breaches of the Law Reform Fraudulent Transaction Special Provisions Act following operations in Rose Heights.
The police say during a search of certain premises, they found several documents with identity information of persons living overseas.
They say the man was subsequently taken into custody.
