RJR News / Dennis Chung, the interim president of the Jamaica Cycling Federation will continue in the position, at least until a new date is set for the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Sunday’s third attempt in three months at hosting the voting AGM at the Jamaica Olympic Association headquarters did not go ahead. Chung said only a handful of members turned up for the meeting while only five members were at the previous one. As such, the AGM had to be postponed while remains uncertain as to what caused the low turnout.

“We didn’t have enough people; we had four persons turning up for the meeting today. People said they would have turned up for the meeting but I don’t know if it’s because of the rain,” said Chung.

Chung who replaced Kirk Finnikin in June, believes cycling remain viable and is pleased with improvements. However, he would not commit to seeking to run for long term leadership of the federation.

“Nominations can be taken from the floor; no one has sent in anything but people should make themselves available,” said Chung.
