Trinidad Express / The Ministry of Finance said yesterday Government’s aim is that employees of the Trinidad and Tobago Revenue Authority (TTRA) would be better compensated than their colleagues who choose to remain in the public service.

“One objective of the TTRA is to better compensate, incentivise, train and equip staff to execute their duties more efficiently and effectively,” the Finance Ministry said in a statement.

According to the ministry, Government has taken a decision that all staff of the Board of Inland Revenue and the Customs and Excise Division will be able to transfer to the proposed T&T Revenue Authority at terms and conditions, no less favourable than those that they currently enjoy, if they so desire.
