Jamaica Gleaner / The police last evening seized three illegal firearms on Spanish Town Road in Kingston.
The police say a .380 Taurus Pistol, one Smith and Wesson revolver and one 9mm Taurus Pistol were seized during an operation in the area.
An undisclosed quantity of ammunition were also seized.
Two men and a woman were taken into custody following the find.
The police also found two credit card scanning machine in Denham Town in a separate operation.
They say the machine has been used in lottery scamming and other fraudulent activities.
Last week, Prime Minister Andrew Holness declared sections of Denham Town – which borders Spanish Town Road – a zone of special operation (ZOSO).
It is the second such zone and is expected to last for 60 days.
