RJR News / Jamaica is predicted to increase sugar production.
With less than two months to go before the start of the next sugar crop Chairman of Jamaica Cane Products Sales, Karl James, says conditions are good for increased output by the industry.
He said the crop will start in November/ December and production will be better this year.
“The weather has been good in terms of growth. We want to ensure that the factories are up to standard to make sure that they can take on the full crop without too much of a delay,” said James in an interview with the Financial Report.
