Jamaica Gleaner / Motorists are expected to have a faster commute along Mandela Highway in St Catherine this evening.
The National Works Agency (NWA) says it has completed patching works along affected sections of the corridor and this should improve traffic flow.
Motorists encountered delays along the Mandela Highway on Monday and Tuesday as a result of the impact which flood waters have had on sections of the roadway.
Communication and Customer Services Manager at the NWA, Stephen Shaw, says pothole patching activities which started yesterday were completed this afternoon.
The NWA is undertaking major road improvement works along the roadway including the extension to a six-lane dual carriageway.
The project is expected to be completed in August 2018.
