Trinidad Express / On a recent trip to Canada, I was lucky to visit three museums, all interesting but very different, in three of the country’s provinces. The Acadian Museum of Prince Edward Island (PEI) is situated in the small town of Miscouche in beautiful PEI, Canada’s smallest province. It documents the history and culture of PEI’s Acadian community. Its members descend from French settlers who began arriving around 1720 in what later became the Canadian provinces of PEI, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, a region that the French called Acadia.
