Trinidad Express / TROUBLE is brewing in the United National Congress (UNC) with Chaguanas West MP Ganga Singh yesterday challenging the party’s decision to hold election for a political leader on November 26, as it was not constitutionally due.

Singh has written to the party’s general secretary, Dave Tancoo, stating that the decision taken by the UNC national executive last Friday was a breach of the constitution and was therefore null, void and of no effect.

Up to yesterday evening, Tancoo said he had not yet received the letter which was copied to the UNC political leader, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, and chairman David Lee.
