Mahindra Rampersad, director of the Miss India Trinidad and Tobago Organisation, said he was saddened by the death of Kimberly Teelucksingh.
Rampersad said Teelucksingh, of Princes Town was a finalist in the Miss India Trinidad and Trinidad 2013 competition.
“The event was held on November 9 th 2013, at the Centre Point Mall Auditorium. Ms. Teelucksingh, attended all training sessions and fun days of events as there were scheduled, without any complaints. She was a very punctual, outspoken and dedicated young lady during her time with the organization,” he said.
Rampersad said Teelucksingh’s growth from the Miss India Trinidad and Tobago training sessions helped her to blossom into an all rounded individual.
“Today the organisation can proudly say without any hesitation that Ms. Teelucksingh was an outstanding finalist and we have lost a great soul. The Miss India Trinidad and Tobago Organization extends our deepest condolences to her family, friends and love ones in this time of mourning,” he said.
Kimberly Teelucksingh was found hanging at her family’s Princes Town home on Tuesday. Suicide is suspected.
