Trinidad Express / Trying to avoid the hassle of getting to and from shopping malls in San Fernando this Christmas season?
Well, there is a new bus shuttle service in the city.
San Fernando East MP Randall Mitchell launched the Public Transport Service Commission (PTSC) San Fernando Mall Shuttle Service on Saturday.
San Fernando Mayor Junia Regrello and Brian Juanette, PTSC deputy general manager of operations attended the launch at the PTSC San Fernando Bus Terminus.
At a cost of $3, the bus would take shoppers from locations in San Fernando to C3 Shopping Centre, SouthPark and Gulf City Mall.
The shuttle operates every one and a half hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 9.30a.m. to 7.50p.m.
The 11 stops include:
PTSC San Fernando Bus Terminus, Detours (Lower High Street), Detours (Upper High Street), bus stop at the top of Lord Street, Royal Road, bus top at Mon Repos, South Park (designated spot), C3 Centre (designated spot), Cocoyea, Naparima/Mayaro Road, Gulf City. Tickets are available at PTSC San Fernando Bus Terminus, High Street Traders, Biggie’s Mini Mart, Mon Repos, Toppers Lotto Booth, South Park, JTA Supermarket, C3 and Lotto Booth upstairs Gulf City Mall.
