Further protest action by workers at the Accountant General’s office in downtown Kingston has been averted.
This follows a meeting on Wednesday, involving the Financial Secretary, the Accountant General and the Jamaica Civil Service Association.
The employees staged a protest for the second day on Wednesday, demanding that the conditions under which they work be addressed urgently. According to the workers, the building is filled with mold and this is making them sick.
