Trinidad Express / POINT FORTIN Civic FC captain and goalkeeper Marvin Phillip has been called up to re-join the national senior men’s team ahead of the upcoming international friendlies versus Grenada and Guyana, on Saturday and next Tuesday, respectively, at the Ato Boldon Stadium. Phillip’s recall is due to the unavailability of USA-based Gregory Ranjitsingh. The 24-year-old was originally selected for the encounters but is now excused due to his club’s qualification for the United Soccer League Cup Finals. Louisville City FC defeated New York Red Bulls II on Sunday to take the Eastern Conference Championship that eluded them last season.
