Jamaica Gleaner / The body of a man was found along a river bank in Cedar Valley, St. Thomas yesterday after he was reportedly washed away by flood waters.
The body has been identified as that of 44-year-old Howard Lindsay, a farmer of New Monk land in the parish.
It’s reported that Lindsay went to his sister’s house which was on the other side of the river when it began to rain heavily.
Lindsay reportedly decided to head home on a tractor which was transporting items to the other side of the river.
According to reports, the back of the tractor was pushed when it reached the vicinity of the ford, causing Lindsay to fall from the tractor.
He was reportedly washed away by flood waters.
His body was later discovered by residents.
