RJR News / Dr. Wykeham McNeill, Chairman of the Public Administration and Appropriations Committee (PAAC) told RJR News that an attempt will be made to get the Committee’s report on the matter tabled in the House.

Dr. McNeill said, based on the turn of events, the PAAC will have to delve further into the issuing of  the contract for the procurement of  the police vehicles.

“Having deliberated with the Ministry of National Security last week, we are in the process now of putting together a report, and to try and get that report into Parliament either Tuesday or… Wednesday, given that Parliament will be meeting both days this week,” he said.

He said that normally the committee would not move so quickly on routine matters, “but given the severity of what the findings were,” it was important to adopt a different approach on this occasion.
