Trinidad Express / THE country has awoken to news that four more people were killed overnight.
Among them was a woman and a cross-dressing man.
At around 6.30 p.m. the body of a Bisraj Ramsaran, of Bridal Road, Cunupia, was discovered near a watercourse. Ramsaran’s body bore chop wounds.
At around 8.15 p.m. Ganesh Samaroo, of Perseverance Road, Couva was chopped to death by a close male relative.
Samaroo was killed after an argument with the relative.
He died at his house.
At 9.30 p.m. an alleged male prostitute was shot and killed in the vicinity of Mandela Park, St Clair. The body of Keon Alister Patterson, of Tobago, was found on a heap of garbage.
At around 4 a.m. victim Alisha Mohammed, 45, executed in her house at John Peters Road, Charlieville. Mohammed was asleep when the killers stormed the premises, and tied up Mohammed and husband in separate rooms.
She was shot in the head.
And police are also investigating the murder of a Gasparillo man who succumbed to assault injuries at hospital. Leslie Hosein, the owner of a quarry in Valencia, died on Tuesday, from injuries sustained when he was beaten in Valencia on November 28.
This brings the total number of people killed for the month to 21.
The homicide toll for the year is 466, according to an Express tally.
