Trinidad Express / While there are many readers who would answer ‘undoubtedly yes’ to the question in the headline of this column, a significant flaw in the public affairs discourse of this country is the inability of critics to acknowledge anything positive by the current administration. The wall of negativity surrounding the economic policies of the Minister of Finance may be because the PNM has gone past what may be described as a Section 34 inflection point. That refers to the point in the previous administration, when a majority of the voters in T&T’s marginal constituencies decided that nothing that administration could do would remove the stench of that deceitful and self-serving legislation.
