Jamaica Gleaner / The November 30, 2017 voters’ list has been published with the names of 1,905,278 registered voters.
The Electoral Commission of Jamaica (ECJ) says an additional 19,500 persons were added to the list while the names of 2,398 electors who are no longer eligible to vote were removed.
It says 1,469 of those removed were dead electors.
The previous list was published on May 31, 2017 with 1,888,168 names.
The ECJ says Identification cards for voters added to the November 30 voters’ list are scheduled to become available by mid-December and should be collected at the relevant Electoral Office of Jamaica constituency office.
It says the ID cards will be valid until December 31, 2019.
