TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO Red Force dominated the opening day of their Regional four-day match against Leeward Islands Hurricanes at Warner Park in St Kitts, yesterday, with Amir Jangoo and Kyle Hope both stoking half-centuries as the visitors reached 148 without loss at stumps, replying to the home team’s 207 all out.

Jangoo, given a life when he was put down early in his innings, went on to reach his highest first-class score of 81 not out, hit off 113 balls. The 20-year-old smashed six sixes and seven fours in an entertaining century stand with Hope, who finished the day on 61 off 112 balls, having struck eight fours.

Those knocks backed up a stellar bowling performance from the visitors, spearheaded by medium pacer Roshon Primus’ haul of four for 57.
