The firm has merged in JL Hofmann & Associates, based in Coral Gables, which Hofmann founded in 1990. He has a master’s in taxation from Florida International University and a bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Florida.
Jennifer Newton has been named director of consumer financial services compliance at Kaufman Rossin . She is a former financial services regulator at the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and will oversee the firm’s growing consumer financial services compliance practice. Newton is an adjunct professor of law at Nova Southeastern University. She has a bachelor’s in sociology and interdisciplinary social science from Florida State University and a J.D. from Loyola University.
