RJR News / The West Indies have lost their opening test to New Zealand by an innings and 67 runs at the Basin Reserve in Wellington. After starting day 4 on 214-2, the visitors were bowled out for 319 with Kraigg Brathwaite top- scoring with 91 runs.
Shimron Hetmyer got 66; Kieran Powell 40 and Shai Hope 37. Matt Henry did the damage with the ball for New Zealand with 3-57. Neil Wagner won the Man-of-the-Match award for his spell of 7-39 in the first innings.
The Kiwis lead the two match series 1-0. The second test will be at Seddon Park in Hamilton on Saturday.
