RJR News / Jamaican Brad Barnes has been called up to the West Indies Under-19 squad as a replacement for Raymond Perez ahead of their final group game against Kenya on Friday Jamaica time. Perez has sustained an ankle injury which is likely to rule him out of the rest of the competition. The ICC Event Technical Committee approved Barnes’ selection after receiving a report from an independent doctor on the extent of Perez’s injury. The West Indies medical personnel originally advised that Perez sustained a Grade 1 inversion sprain of the left ankle during a fielding session on January 15, 2018, and his chances of making a return during this tournament are slim. <!–[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]–> <!–[endif]–>
