Jamaica Gleaner / Motorists who use Constant Spring Road in St Andrew are being advised to expect delays from time to time as the National Works Agency (NWA) has begun upgrading works on the heavily trafficked roadway.
The popular stretch is being widened from the Red Hills Road intersection with Eastwood Park Road to Manor Park.
The roadworks, which began yesterday, is to last 14 months.
NWA Communication Manager, Stephen Shaw, says there will be some inconveniences during the project.
Shaw says the road will be kept open and the number of travel lanes will be maintained during the project, with traffic diversions from time to time.
He says the public will be kept updated as the project progresses and he’s reminding motorists that delays cannot be avoided.
Persons are therefore being advised to make travel plans bearing in mind the likely impact of the works over the next 14 months.
