MiamiHerald / Nine former University of Miami football players will have the chance to impress scouts ahead of the NFL Draft at the annual NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis.
Miami’s contingent is tied with Florida State for the fifth-largest by a single school this season. National champion Alabama leads the way with 14 players invited to the combine, followed by Ohio State (11), LSU (10) and national runner-up Georgia (10).
Miami’s invitees (in alphabetical order): kicker Michael Badgley, wide receiver Braxton Berrios, cornerback Dee Delaney, tight end Chris Herndon, guard Kc McDermott, defensive tackles R.J. McIntosh and Kendrick Norton, defensive end Chad Thomas and running back Mark Walton.
For five of the former Hurricane players, this will be a second or third chance to perform in front of scouts. Badgley, Berrios and Thomas all competed at the Senior Bowl in January. Thomas also joined Delaney and McDermott at the East-West Shrine Game.
