RJR News / U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is to visit Jamaica today on the final leg of his Latin American and Caribbean tour. Mr. Tillerson, who has visited Mexico, Argentina, Peru and Colombia, will spend a few hours in Jamaica. He will hold talks with Prime Minister Andrew Holness. Both men will then host a media briefing. Former Prime Minister P.J. Patterson last week urged the Jamaican Government to press its own priority issues with the US Secretary of State. The US State Department, in announcing his visit to Jamaica and countries in Latin America, said Secretary Tillerson will seek to promote a safe, prosperous, energy secure, and democratic hemisphere and advocate for increased regional attention to the crisis in Venezuela.
