RJR News / Employees of the Sugar Industry Authority (SIA) and the Sugar Industry Research Institute (SIRI) are back on the job. They were instructed to return to work by the Labour Ministry during a meeting on Monday. The workers from Kingston and Mandeville have been on strike since last Tuesday. The work stoppage was triggered by a wage dispute following a reclassification exercise more than two years ago. Vincent Morrison, President of the Union of Clerical, Administrative and Supervisory Employees, says another meeting will be held at the Ministry of Labour on Tuesday at 2 o’clock.
