Trinidad Express / A SECURITY guard is now in police custody after he stabbed a homeless man to death inside KFC at Independence Square, Port of Spain on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred shortly before 9 a.m. in full view of customers and workers at the fast food restaurant.

ISHMEAL SALANDY Eye-witnesses say the victim, who remains unidentified, went into the restaurant with the intention of using the bathroom. However, he was prevented from doing so by the guard and put out of the establishment. Shortly after he returned and again attempted to enter the bathroom before a scuffle took place between the two.

He then fled the scene but later surrendered himself to homicide officers.
