Jamaica Gleaner / Five time national champions Portmore United slammed three unanswered goals against Cavalier to book their spot in the Red Stripe Premier League final on Sunday.
Portmore, which last lifted the trophy in the 2011-2012 season, made the most of their home field advantage at Prison Oval, to beat Cavalier 3-0 on the back of a brace from Javon East.
This after both teams had played out a 0-0 draw in the first leg at Stadium East last week.
East got his goals in the fifth and 72nd minutes, sandwiching Jermie Lynch’s 48th minute strike, to secure Portmore’s spot in the April 23 final at the National Stadium.
Portmore will know their opponents for the final on Monday, when Waterhouse, who secured a 1-0 advantage from the first leg, travel to the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex to face Arnett Gardens in the second leg, which gets started at 8:35 p.m.
