Jamaica Observer / MAY PEN, Clarendon — Dr Hyacinth Hue and her husband Eric Hue have donated a sonography machine (used for diagnostic imaging) worth US$7,000 to the May Pen Hospital, according to the Southern Regional Health Authority.

A news release said the Hues also delivered a number of feeding syringes, some arthroscopy drapes with fluid collection pouch, one immobiliser for the knee, and one back brace.

In February, the Hue family had donated a fully equipped building in Tweedside, Clarendon, worth $40 million, to be used as a health centre, the release said.

“Mere thanks is not enough, this is a seed which is planted and will benefit the entire Clarendon and our region,” said senior medical officer of the May Pen Hospital, Dr Bradley Edwards, in response to the latest gift.
