Jamaica Observer / Last Friday was no ordinary Friday at Sandals Resorts International as the team got fancy for the first ever Mad Hatter Tea Party held on the lawns of the company’s headquarters in the resort city of Montego Bay. Encouraged to don their best outfits, team members pulled out all the stops and were decked out in their fascinators, top hats, bow ties, gloves and other fabulous tea party outfits and accessories.
Not to be outdone were the Deputy Chairman Adam Stewart and the new Chief Executive Officer Gebhard Rainer, who both dressed the part to partake of the fun.
Team members were treated to a delightful fare of tea party staples including cucumber, egg salad and tuna sandwiches, a selection of scones and pastries and an assortment of teas and beverages. The afternoon was also filled with exciting games and challenges, which saw many walking away with prizes ranging from day passes to gift vouchers to facials.
As the event was two days shy of Mother’s Day, the mothers on the team were also gifted with specially curated packages and were treated to a stirring performance from Akeem Fennell, the top vocalist from Sandals Ochi Beach Resort.
