Jamaica Observer / KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Kingston Eastern police have launched investigations into the shooting deaths of two men in separate incidents yesterday. In the first incident, the body of a man was reportedly found along a dirt track by residents about 7:30 am in Pleasant Heights with what appears to be gunshot wounds.

Scenes of crime personnel were summoned and the area processed, after which the body was removed to the morgue.

The dead man has since been identified as 27-year-old Damaine Downie of Harbour Road, Kingston 2.

In other incident, 23-year-old Jason Bryan of Windward Road, Kingston 2 was found with gunshot wounds after residents reportedly heard explosions in the Rockfort area about 8:30am.

He was reportedly found on the ground following the explosions and subsequently taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
