Jamaica Observer / The 39th regular meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (Caricom) held at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in St James concluded last Friday with Caricom c hairman and Prime Minister of Jamaica Andrew Holness declaring the three-day summit a success.
All 15 Caricom heads, as well as the five associate members, were in attendance at the conference, attended by more than 200 foreign nationals.
Deliberations covered a number of critical issues that impact the economic and social advancement of the countries of the region.
Among the key issues discussed were crime and security, disaster management and climate change, and implementation of the Caricom Single Market and Economy.
