Jamaica Observer / KINGSTON, Jamaica — Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue affecting sections of the island this morning as a tropical wave moves across Jamaica. The Meteorological (Met) Service says the tropical wave is expected to be west of the island by this afternoon, when scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected mainly across central and western parishes. Windy conditions are also expected across southern parishes this afternoon, while tonight should become fair. Meanwhile, a small craft warning remains in effect for inshore and offshore areas of the north and south coasts due to strong winds and rough seas.
