Army sharp shoot*

Trinidad Express / For the second time this season, five-time Caribbean champions W Connection have lost to an armed forces team. Surprise losers to Police (1-0) earlier in the season, W Connection missed a chance to go back to the top of the Trinidad and Tobago professional football league when Defence Force demolished the 10-man ‘Savonetta Boys’ 4-1 at Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva, on Saturday night. Reon Moore (‘27 & ‘88) scored twice while midfielder Dillon King (‘64) and striker Kellon Serrette (‘74) also found the net as Defence Force built a four-goal advantage, before Marcus Joseph (‘90+1) gave W Connection a late consolation goal. Meanwhile, Connection’s rivals and defending champions Central FC remain only mid-table after dropping further points in a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Club Sando.
