Bridgelal’s passion for nature on show

The trinidad Guardian / Artist Anil Bridgelal opened his eighth solo art exhibition on Wednesday evening.

“My Exhibition focuses on my love for our natural environment here in T&T, the flora and fauna aspects as I love the countryside and rural life.” Bridgelal said. “I’ve developed a love for oils hence this show is mostly depicted in oils. I usually show every two years, my last show was held in 2015.”

As a youngster, he always had a love and passion for the natural environment, depicting his inspirations from the countryside of Barrackpore, where he was raised, to the more remote and rural sanctuaries of his country.

His paintings mirror his heartfelt representation of nature’s glory in river scenes, seascapes, swamps and still life beauty of T&T. Bridgelal wants his paintings to be loved and appreciated for what they portray, the majesty and wonder of nature.

His exhibition whcih features 30 original paintings continues at On Location Art Galleries, 42 DeVerteuil St, Woodbrook from 8.30 am to 5 pm until Saturday.
