Dark Blue Supremacy As JC Retains Manning Cup


RJR News / Defending champions Jamaica College have landed their fourth straight and 28th overall ISSA Flow Manning Cup title after clipping Wolmer’s Boys 2-1  in Saturday’s final at the National Stadium.

Tyreke Maggie and Donovan Dawkins scored for Jamaica College in the first half while Alphanso Gooden responded for Wolmer’s in the 45 th minute. Wolmer’s were contesting their first Manning Cup final since 2013 and have not won since 1994.

Meanwhile, defending champions St Elizabeth Technical joined Cornwall College in the ISSA Flow DaCosta Cup final after clipping Ben Francis Cup champions Lennon 2-1 in the second semi-final at Manchester High on Saturday.

This is STETHS’ fifth consecutive DaCosta final and will they will be gunning for a third straight title when they meet Cornwall College next week Saturday, December 3 at the Montego Bay Sports Complex starting at 6:00 pm.
