Four beach players for ‘Commonwealth Youth’*

Trinidad Express / THE female half of the Trinidad and Tobago beach volleyball team for the Commonwealth Youth Games will travel to Bahamas tomorrow. Tsyan Selvon and Ebony Williams and manager Andrea Davis will then link up with male players Daynte Stewart and Devaughn Martin, who have been training under the watchful eye of coach Nancy Joseph for the last couple weeks in Florida, USA. Martin, son of former national player Vaughn Martin, and Stewart, son of last year’s Trinidad and Tobago Volleyball Federation president Daymian Stewart, are being considered a threat for a medal and their camp was funded by the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee. The Games will take place from Tuesday until next Sunday and T&T will be represented by in other sporting disciplines – athletics, beach football, boxing, cycling, judo, rugby 75, swimming and tennis.
