Hankinson Ready For Discussions With Whitmore To Help Expose Local Reggae Boyz

RJR News / New Montego Bay United head coach Tim Hankinson says he’s willing to help Reggae Boyz head coach Theodore “Tappa” Whitmore in giving local players more exposure overseas. Hankinson who has coached for over 30 years in the United States, just finished a spell with North American Soccer League side Indy Eleven which he led to the title in 2016. He believes Jamaican players have what it takes to make it in the top leagues. “I certainly would be open to that invitation to have that discussion based on his (Whitmore’s) schedule. I’ve always been open minded to Jamaican players playing in the United States because they have the talent.

They just need the right environment to continue growing and I’m sure coach Whitmore feels the same way and I’m certainly opening the door to that conversation at any time,” noted Hankinson.
