Jeweler tied up, killed in Tobago

Trinidad Express / A TOBAGO man is the country’s fifth homicide for the day. The body was discovered at Canoe Bay at around 2.30 p.m. Tobago’s acting Senior Superintendent Joanne Archie said the man, a jeweler, was found dead in his house. He was in teh floor of the bathroom, tied up and decomposing. The killing took the homicide toll in Tobago to 12. Four other men were killed in less than 24 hours in Trinidad. Marabella resident Anderson Babwah was stabbed to death around 8 a.m. Friday allegedly by his neighbour, an outpatient of the mental hospital. At around midday, Kevin Baptiste, 33, was gunned down at his Cipriani Avenue, Morvant home. Canadian citizen Vishnu Narine was found dead in Ste Madeleine this morning, near the Usine Ste Madeleine pond. And at 3 a.m. Chaguanas resident Ashram Ramnath, 32, was shot and killed at his home at Chandanagore Old Road. Police are searching for two men who invaded his home.
