Knight 8th in Para Worlds 100 heat

Trinidad Express / Jabari Knight finished eighth in his World Para Athletics Championship men’s 100 metres T54 qualifying heat in London, England, yesterday, and did not advance to the final. The Trinidad and Tobago wheelchair athlete got to the line in 17.16 seconds.

Finland’s Leo-Pekka Tahti won the heat in 13.92. And in the final, Tahti clocked 13.95 to strike gold.

Knight will be back on the track on Tuesday, competing in the men’s 200m T54 event. His T&T teammate, Nyoshia Cain will be on show this morning in the women’s long jump T44.
