Just when you thought Lasco Distributors couldn’t get any better, they decided to heat things up by adding instant hot chocolate to their palatably pleasing line up.

The Lasco team visited The Gleaner Company Media Limited bright and early Tuesday morning to put a little sunshine in the stomachs of their employees, serving up fish sandwiches made with their mackerel in brine, alongside their signature hot chocolate tea with marshmallows swimming on top. According to Krishta-Gay Lewis-Harewood, brand manager for Breakfast Products, the best way to put the word out about any product is by getting notable persons to try it for themselves and spread the word, so to speak.What better way to start than with the press.

A seemingly tough crowd to please, The Gleaner greeted them with warm smiles, gave very valuable feedback and made them feel right at home, “The energy was great! So many thought the mackerel sandwich was tuna, and we had to be telling them that it was our mackerel brand, which moves away from the typical tomato to a water and salt based sauce. Many also compared our product to that of chocolate from the country,” she revealed. The sashays already have milk and sugar added, while the tins, which come in three different flavours, is just the chocolate powder.

She noted that people have actually been sharing photos on different mediums, and they are encouraging persons to join in on the movement by posting pictures under the hashtag #stirupasmile. With prizes and surprises, a chow down and warm drink up session, and all the Lasco breakfast products on fine display, It’s safe to say that both Lasco Distributors and The Gleaner walked away both happy and satisfied.
