Motorist Who Hit Father, Son In St. Elizabeth To Be Charged Soon, Police Say

RJR News / A motorist who on Saturday night hit down a man and his son on the Chatman main road in Cheapside, St. Elizabeth is expected to be charged on Wednesday.   This was disclosed by investigators who took him into custody this morning.   52 year old Keith Brooks and son were walking along the road when they were hit.   Mr. Brooks later died at hospital.   His son was treated and released.   The investigating officer told RJR News that the motorist will be charged with causing death by dangerous driving.   The update from the police comes in the wake of a protest by residents of Chatman who complained about what they said was the slow pace of police investigations.   The residents blocked the main road impeding the flow of  traffic from Junction to Nain.   The road has been cleared.
