MSJ still hoping*

Trinidad Express / ALTHOUGH they did not win any electoral districts in the local government election, the Movement of Social Justice (MSJ) received more votes than what it got in 2013. This was a step in the right direction says its political leader, David Abdulah. Abdulah told the Express yesterday although it was not a big step, it showed that there was hope for the party. This was the second time the MSJ contested a local government election. The party had 11 representatives, five each in the Point Fortin Borough Corporation and the Arima Borough Corporation and one in the Tunapuna/Piarco Regional Corporation. The MSJ according to its information received 402 votes altogether for the Point Fortin Borough Corporation, an increase form 285 overall in 2013. They are still awaiting results from the other corporations.
