Jamaica Gleaner / The Jamaica Bobsleigh Federation has officially launched its theme song, Run the Track , Its Bobsleigh Time , for the 2108 team.
The song was written, sang and produced by Steel Pulse’s Sidney Mills and Jon Notar, with additional producing credits going Paul Riggio and Al Risi from Groove Guild.
The infectious reggae track, also has an accompanying music video which features the Ravers Clavers, who are choreographers of the Bobsleigh Slide Dance.
The music video for the single was shot at different locations across Kingston including Spry Training, areas in Half-Way Tree and Papine.
When contacted by Devon Harris of The Jamaica Bobsleigh Federation, to be a part of the project, Wiz Ravers said he and his dance-mates were more than happy to oblige.
“He (Harris) said somebody recommended us to him because before this he didn’t know about us. But since we started working on the video, him say him love the energy we have,” he said
Describing the song, Al Risi of Groove Guild, said it is an infectious blend of dancehall, reggae and pop that creates an undeniable, dancefloor-friendly groove.
“The creation of the signature Bobsleigh Slide dance, gives the team’s global fan base, yet another opportunity to support this perennial cultural phenomenon, and to ‘Nice Up’ the dance,” he added.

The Jamaica Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (JBSF) Limited, is the governing body for the sport of bobsleigh and skeleton in Jamaica. It was first constituted in 1987 in preparation for the 1988 Olympic Games, and is a member, in good standing, of the Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA) and the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF).
The Jamaica Bobsleigh Federation Limited, is incorporated in Jamaica as a company limited by guarantee.
Jamaica is currently competing at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
The team consist of Carrie Russell and Jazmine Fenlator-Victorian, who are the first females for the country to enter the competition.
