Parlour owner loses fight with bandits, killed

Trinidad Express / A CHAGUANAS man fought with his killers until they ended his life with a bullet to the chest.

Ashram Ramnath, 32, of Chandanagore Old Road, was shot and killed at 3 a.m. Friday.

Police are searching for two men who invaded his home.

A senior homicide detective  said that robbery may not have been the motive, since Ramnath there were not many good for sale in his parlour.

Couva North Member of Parliament, Ramona Ramdial in a media release renewed a calls for mobile patrols in every community in her constituency.

Ramdial said she is also calling on Minister of National Security Edmund Dillon and Acting Commissioner of Police Stephen Williams to equip police officers in the Central Police Division with all the necessary resources to fight the high crime rate in the region.
