Red Cross partners up for 2017 kiddies mas*

Trinidad Express / Looking to inject new life into children’s mas, the Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society (TTRCS) has brought on board local events and production company Southex, to assist them with the 2017 edition of the Red Cross Children’s Carnival. “This year we have decided to take a different approach in an effort to take the show to another level. Our culture is evolving … we should make efforts to revamp the product, to create a greater level of excitement and enjoyment for the children and the patrons,” said president of the TTRCS, Lister Ramjohn during the official launch of Red Cross Children’s Carnival 2017 at NLCB’s office, Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain. The Red Cross Children’s Carnival has been a mainstay on the Carnival calendar for decades and next year marks the 61st edition. The society, armed with a brand new concept, new management committee and new partner in Southex also revealed its new logo along with its new theme for 2017: One Big Playground – A magical celebration and parade of music, theatre, pageantry and dance during the media launch.
