Taylor Loses Ground In ICC Rankings

RJR News / Stafanie Taylor’s rating took the biggest hit from the West Indies’ poor showing at the ICC Women’s World Cup, as the Jamaican was eclipsed by Australian Ellyse Perry as the top One Day International all-rounder.

Perry, who is second in the list of batters in the tournament with 366 runs and has so far taken nine wickets, takes the number one spot for a third time in her career. Taylor also fell four places in the batting ranking, slipping to 9th as Meg Lanning retains her number one spot.

However, another Jamaican Chedean Nation, vaulted 76 places to now be ranked 106 th . Taylor also fell a spot on the bowling list to third, while fellow West Indian Anisa Mohammed dropped three places to 10th.

As for the ICC women’s team ranking, which take into account both ODIs and T20is, there was no change in positions with Australia gaining a point at 128.

England has gained two points to reach 124 in second position with New Zealand 118, India 113 and the West Indies 104, the other teams in the top five.
