The ‘Admiral’ Takes Over At Waterhouse FC

RJR News / Glendon ‘Admiral’ Bailey could be a saving grace for the struggling Waterhouse FC after sources close to the club revealed to RJR Sports that the Drewsland-based side has severed ties with Marvin Tate.

Sources claim that Bailey was present at the team’s last game against UWI FC on Sunday where they lost 1-0 and has taken full control of the side starting Monday.

Bailey will be asked to play a similar role to what he did at Tivoli Gardens at the end of last season, with Waterhouse languishing in the relegation zone with 11 points from 13 games.

“We felt that we needed to go in a new direction now and we felt the team wasn’t playing consistent football, lacked leadership on and off the field and we felt we needed to get somebody who can re-inspire, motivate and provide the kind of leadership this talented bunch of players will require to continue to be successful,” said club president Donovan White.

Tate took control of Waterhouse at the start of the current season after the side narrowly escaped relegation in last season’s campaign.
